பம்பரம் போல் பரபரப்பாக சுழுலும் வாழ்வில் ஒரமாய் ஒதுங்கி உன்னதர் இயேசுவோடு உரையாடி ஒளிதேடி இறைவாக்கை விளக்காக வாழ்வாக வரவேற்று வளம் பெறுக!
1 அக்காலத்தில் அகுஸ்து சீசர் தம் பேரரசு முழுவதும் மக்கள் தொகையைக் கணக்கிடுமாறு கட்டளை பிறப்பித்தார். 2 அதன்படி சிரிய நாட்டில் குரேனியு என்பவர் ஆளுநராய் இருந்தபோது முதன்முறையாக மக்கள் தொகை கணக்கிடப்பட்டது. 3 தம் பெயரைப் பதிவு செய்ய அனைவரும் அவரவர் ஊருக்குச் சென்றனர். 4- 5 தாவீதின் வழிமரபினரான யோசேப்பும், தமக்கு மண ஒப்பந்தமான மரியாவோடு , பெயரைப் பதிவு செய்ய, கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள நாசரேத்து ஊரிலிருந்து யூதேயாவிலுள்ள பெத்லகேம் என்ற தாவீதின் ஊருக்குச் சென்றார். மரியா கருவுற்றிருந்தார். 6 அவர்கள் அங்கு இருந்தபொழுது மரியாவுக்குப் பேறுகாலம் வந்தது. 7 அவர் தம் தலைமகனைப் பெற்றெடுத்தார். விடுதியில் அவர்களுக்கு இடம் கிடைக்கவில்லை. எனவே பிள்ளையைத் துணிகளில் பொதிந்து தீவனத் தொட்டியில் கிடத்தினார்.
ஆண்டவரே! எளிமையான மனித உருவில் இம்மண்ணுலகில் தோன்றினீர். நானும் உம்மைப் போல் தாழ்ச்சி என்ற புண்ணியத்தில் வளர எனக்கு அருள்தாரும்
கடவுள் தன்மையில் விளங்கிய நீர் உம்மையே வெறுமையாக்கி மனித கோலம் ஏற்றீர். என்னை மீட்க நீர் உம்மையே தாழ்த்திக் கொண்டீர். இந்தத் தியாகப் பேரன்பிற்காக நான் உமக்கு நன்றி கூறுகிறேன்.
1 In those days a decree went out from Emperor Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This was the first registration and was taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 All went to their own towns to be registered. 4 Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was descended from the house and family of David. 5 He went to be registered with Mary, to whom he was engaged and who was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
Lord! You came into this world in humble human form. Grant me the grace to grow like you in the virtue of humility..
Lord! You emptied yourself of your divine nature and took on human form. You humbled yourself to redeem me. I thank you for this great sacrificial love.
ஏரோது அரசன் காலத்தில் யூதேயாவிலுள்ள பெத்லகேமில் இயேசு பிறந்தார். அப்போது கிழக்கிலிருந்து ஞானிகள் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்து, 2 யூதர்களின் அரசராகப் பிறந்திருக்கிறவர் எங்கே? அவரது விண்மீன் எழக் கண்டோம். அவரை வணங்க வந்திருக்கிறோம் என்றார்கள். இதைக் கேட்டதும் ஏரோது அரசன் கலங்கினான். அவனோடு எருசலேம் முழுவதும் கலங்கிற்று. 4 அவன் எல்லாத் தலைமைக் குருக்களையும், மக்களிடையே இருந்த மறைநூல் அறிஞர்களையும் ஒன்று கூட்டி, மெசியா எங்கே பிறப்பார் என்று அவர்களிடம் விசாரித்தான். 5-6 அவர்கள் அவனிடம், யூதேயாவிலுள்ள பெத்லகேமில் அவர் பிறக்க வேண்டும். ஏனெனில், யூதா நாட்டுப் பெத்லகேமே, யூதாவின் ஆட்சி மையங்களில் நீ சிறியதே இல்லை ; ஏனெனில், என் மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலை ஆயரென ஆள்பவர் ஒருவர் உன்னிலிருந்தே தோன்றுவார். என்று இறைவாக்கினர் எழுதியுள்ளார் என்றார்கள். 7 பின்பு ஏரோது யாருக்கும் தெரியாமல் ஞானிகளை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போய் விண்மீன் தோன்றிய காலத்தைப் பற்றி விசாரித்து உறுதி செய்து கொண்டான். 8 மேலும் அவர்களிடம், "நீங்கள் சென்று, குழந்தையைக்குறித்துத் திட்டவட்டமாய்க் கேட்டு எனக்கு அறிவியுங்கள். அப்பொழுது நானும் சென்று அக்குழந்தையை வணங்குவேன்” என்று கூறி அவர்களைப் பெத்லகேமுக்கு அனுப்பிவைத்தான். 9 அரசன் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டு அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள். இதோ! முன்பு எழுந்த விண்மீன் தோன்றிக் குழந்தை இருந்த இடத்திற்கு முன்னே சென்று கொண்டிருந்தது. 10 அங்கே நின்ற விண்மீனைக் கண்டதும் அவர்கள் மட்டில்லாப் பெருமகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தார்கள். 11 வீட்டிற்குள் அவர்கள் போய்க் குழந்தையை அதன் தாய் மரியா வைத்திருப்பதைக் கண்டார்கள்; நெடுஞ்சாண்கிடையாய் விழுந்து குழந்தையை வணங்கினார்கள்; தங்கள் பேழைகளைத் திறந்து பொன்னும் சாம்பிராணியும் வெள்ளைப் போளமும் காணிக்கையாகக் கொடுத்தார்கள். 12 ஏரோதிடம் திரும்பிப் போக வேண்டாம் என்று கனவில் அவர்கள் எச்சரிக்கப்பட்டதால் வேறு வழியாகத் தங்கள் நாடு திரும்பினார்கள். 13 அவர்கள் திரும்பிச் சென்றபின் ஆண்டவருடைய தூதர் யோசேப்புக்குக் கனவில் தோன்றி, "நீர் எழுந்து குழந்தையையும் அதன் தாயையும் கூட்டிக் கொண்டு எகிப்துக்குத் தப்பி ஓடிச்செல்லும். நான் உமக்குச் சொல்லும் வரை அங்கேயே இரும். ஏனெனில், குழந்தையை ஏரோது கொல்வதற்காகத் தேடப்போகிறான்" என்றார். 14 யோசேப்பு எழுந்து, குழந்தையையும் அதன் தாயையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, இரவிலேயே எகிப்துக்குப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார்; 15 ஏரோது இறக்கும் வரை அங்கேயே இருந்தார். இவ்வாறு, "எகிப்திலிருந்து என் மகனை அழைத்து வந்தேன்" என்று இறைவாக்கினர் வாயிலாக ஆண்டவர் உரைத்தது நிறைவேறியது.
ஆண்டவரே! நான் உமது பாதையை கண்டுபிடித்து மாற்றுப் பாதையில் நடக்க எனக்கு வரம் தாரும்.
1 In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 asking, “Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.” 3 When King Herod heard this, he was frightened, and all Jerusalem with him; 4 and calling together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for so it has been written by the prophet: 6 ‘And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who is to shepherd my people Israel.’” 7 Then Herod secretly called for the wise men and learned from them the exact time when the star had appeared. 8 Then he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child; and when you have found him, bring me word so that I may also go and pay him homage.” 9 When they had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy. 11 On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they left for their own country by another road. 13 Now after they had left, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.” 14 Then Joseph got up, took the child and his mother by night, and went to Egypt, 15 and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, “Out of Egypt I have called my son.”
Lord! Give me the gift to find out your way and to walk in that path.
Lord! King Herod was near to the place where the child was born; yet he was unable to see the child. You are always present close to me. I worship you and give you my body, soul and riches as offering.
41. ஆண்டுதோறும் இயேசுவின் பெற்றோர் பாஸ்கா விழாவைக் கொண்டாட எருசலேமுக்குப் போவார்கள்; 42 இயேசுவுக்குப் பன்னிரண்டு வயது ஆனபோது, வழக்கப்படி விழாவைக் கொண்டாட எருசலேம் சென்றனர். 43 விழா நாள்கள் முடிந்து அவர்கள் திரும்பியபோது, சிறுவன் இயேசு எருசலேமில் தங்கிவிட்டார். இது அவருடைய பெற்றோருக்குத் தெரியாது; 44 பயணிகள் கூட்டத்தில் அவர் இருப்பார் என்று எண்ணினர். ஒருநாள் பயணம் முடிந்த பின்பு உறவினரிடையேயும் அறிமுகமானவர்களிடையேயும் அவரைத் தேடினர்; 45 அவரைக் காணாததால் அவரைத் தேடிக்கொண்டு எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பிச் சென்றார்கள். 46 மூன்று நாள்களுக்குப்பின் அவரைக் கோவிலில் கண்டார்கள். அங்கே அவர் போதகர்கள் நடுவில் அமர்ந்து அவர்கள் சொல்வதைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டும் அவர்களிடம் கேள்விகளை எழுப்பிக் கொண்டுமிருந்தார். 47 அவற்றைக் கேட்ட அனைவரும் அவருடைய புரிந்து கொள்ளும் திறனையும் அவர் அளித்த பதில்களையும் கண்டு மலைத்துப் போயினர். 48 அவருடைய பெற்றோரும் அவரைக் கண்டு வியப்பில் ஆழ்ந்தனர். அப்பொழுது அவருடைய தாய் அவரை நோக்கி, "மகனே, ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்தாய்? இதோ பார், உன் தந்தையும் நானும் உன்னை மிகுந்த கவலையோடு தேடிக்கொண்டிருந்தோமே" என்றார். 49 அவர் அவர்களிடம் "நீங்கள் ஏன் என்னைத் தேடினீர்கள்? நான் என் தந்தையின் அலுவல்களில் ஈடுபட்டிருக்க வேண்டும் என்பது உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாதா?" என்றார். 50 அவர் சொன்னதை அவர்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ளவில்லை. 51 பின்பு அவர் அவர்களுடன் சென்று நாசரேத்தை அடைந்து அவர்களுக்குப் பணிந்து நடந்தார். அவருடைய தாய் இந்நிகழ்ச்சிகளையெல்லாம் தமது உள்ளத்தில் பதித்து வைத்திருந்தார். 52 இயேசு ஞானத்திலும் உடல் வளர்ச்சியிலும் மிகுந்து கடவுளுக்கும் மனிதருக்கும் உகந்தவராய் வாழ்ந்து வந்தார்.
ஆண்டவரே! உமது ஞானம் நிறைந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு உமது சித்தத்தைப் புரிந்து கொள்ளும் திறனை எனக்குத் தந்தருளும்.
ஆண்டவரே! நான் என்றும் உமது பணியில் ஈடுபட்டு ஞானத்தில் வளரச் செய்யும். உமக்கும் பிறருக்கும் உகந்தவனாய் நான் வாழ்வேன் என்று உறுதிமொழி கொடுக்கிறேன்.
41 Now every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the festival of the Passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up as usual for the festival. 43 When the festival was ended and they started to return, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. 44 Assuming that he was in the group of travellers, they went a day’s journey. Then they started to look for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem to search for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, “Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been searching for you in great anxiety.” 49 He said to them, “Why were you searching for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” 50 But they did not understand what he said to them. 51 Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and in years, and in divine and human favour.
Lord! Grant me the good sense to listen to your words of wisdom and to understand your will.
Lord! Grant me the grace to involve myself in your service and to grow in wisdom. I pledge to live in divine and human favour.
21 மக்களெல்லாரும் திருமுழுக்குப் பெறும் வேளையில் இயேசுவும் திருமுழுக்குப் பெற்று, இறைவனிடம் வேண்டிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது வானம் திறந்தது. 22 தூய ஆவி புறாவடிவில் தோன்றி அவர்மீது இறங்கியது. அப்பொழுது, "என் அன்பார்ந்த மகன் நீயே, உன் பொருட்டு நான் பூரிப்படைகிறேன்" என்று வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு குரல் ஒலித்தது.
ஆண்டவரே! நான் மன்றாட்டில் நிலைத்திருந்து உம்மோடு உரையாட அருள்தாரும்.
ஆண்டவரே! உமது மகன் திருமுழுக்கின் வழியாக அப்பா அனுபவத்தைப் பெற்றது போல எனக்கும் இவ்வனுபவத்தைத் தந்து, என்னை உமது பிள்ளையாக ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளும்.
21 Now when all the people were baptised, and when Jesus also had been baptised and was praying, the heaven was opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased”.
Lord! Grant me the grace to continue in prayer and to converse with you.
Lord! Your son received the ‘father experience’ while getting baptised. Grant me the same experience and accept me as your child.
1 இயேசு தூய ஆவியால் ஆட்கொள்ளப்பட்டு யோர்தான் ஆற்றைவிட்டுத் திரும்பினார். பின்னர் அவர் அதே ஆவியால் பாலை நிலத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டார். 2 அவர் நாற்பது நாள் அலகையினால் சோதிக்கப்பட்டார். அந்நாள்களில் அவர் ஒன்றும் சாப்பிடவில்லை . அதன்பின் அவர் பசியுற்றார். 3 அப்பொழுது அலகை அவரிடம், "நீர் இறைமகன் என்றால் இந்தக் கல் அப்பமாகும் படி கட்டளையிடும்" என்றது. 4 அதனிடம் இயேசு மறுமொழியாக , " மனிதர் அப்பத்தினால் மட்டும் வாழ்வதில்லை” என மறை நூலில் எழுதியுள்ளதே" என்றார். 5 பின்பு அலகை அவரை அழைத்துச் சென்று உலகத்தின் அரசுகள் அனைத்தையும் ஒரு நொடிப்பொழுதில் அவருக்குக் காட்டி, அவரிடம், " இவற்றின் மேல் முழு அதிகாரத்தையும் இவற்றின் மேன்மையையும் உமக்குக் கொடுப்பேன். இவை யாவும் என்னிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன; நான் விரும்பியவருக்கு இவற்றைக் கொடுப்பேன். 7 நீர் என்னை வணங்கினால் அனைத்தும் உம்முடையவையாகும்" என்றது. 8 இயேசு அதனிடம் மறுமொழியாக, "உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரை வணங்கி அவர் ஒருவருக்கே பணி செய்வாயாக" என்று மறை நூலில் எழுதியுள்ளது" என்றார். 9 பின்னர் அது அவரை எருசலேமுக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்று கோவிலின் உயர்ந்த பகுதியில் அவரை நிறுத்தி, "நீர் இறைமகன் என்றால் இங்கிருந்து கீழே குதியும்; 10 'உம்மைப் பாதுகாக்கும்படி கடவுள் தம் தூதருக்கு உம்மைக் குறித்துக் கட்டளையிடுவார்' என்றும் 11 உமது கால் கல்லில் மோதாத படி அவர்கள் தங்கள் கைகளால் உம்மைத் தாங்கிக் கொள்வார்கள்' என்றும் மறை நூலில் எழுதியுள்ளது" என்றது. 12 இயேசு அதனிடம் மறு மொழியாக, " உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரைச் சோதிக்க வேண்டாம்' என்றார். 13 அலகை சோதனைகள் அனைத்தையும் முடித்த பின்பு ஏற்ற காலம் வரும் வரை அவரைவிட்டு அகன்றது.
ஆண்டவரே! எதிரியின் சூழ்ச்சியைக் கண்டு கொள்ள அருள்தாரும்.
ஆண்டவரே! என் அன்றாட வாழ்வில் வரும் சோதனைகளை வென்று உமது சித்தம் ஒன்றே என் வாழ்வின் இலக்கு என்பதை உணரச் செய்யும். உமது மகிமை ஒன்றே என் கண்முன் என்றும் இருக்கட்டும்.
4 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, 2 where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over, he was famished. 3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become a loaf of bread.” 4 Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone.’” 5 Then the devil led him up and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And the devil said to him, “To you I will give their glory and all this authority; for it has been given over to me, and I give it to anyone I please. 7 If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” 8 Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.’” 9 Then the devil took him to Jerusalem, and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple, saying to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you, to protect you,’ 11 and ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.’” 12 Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 13 When the devil had finished every test, he departed from him until an opportune time.
Lord! Grant me the grace to recognize the evil designs of the enemy.
Lord! Give me the strength to win over the everyday temptations in my life and make me to understand that your will alone is the objective of my life.
1 ஆறு நாள்களுக்குப் பின்பு இயேசு பேதுருவையும் யாக்கோபையும் அவர் சகோதரரான யோவானையும் ஓர் உயர்ந்த மலைக்குத் தனிமையாகக் கூட்டிக் கொண்டுபோனார். 2 அங்கே அவர்கள் முன் அவர் தோற்றம் மாறினார். அவரது முகம் கதிரவனைப் போல் ஒளிர்ந்தது. அவருடைய ஆடைகள் ஒளிபோன்று வெண்மையாயின. 3 இதோ! மே சேயும் எலியாவும் அவர்களுக்கு முன் தோன்றி இயேசுவோடு உரையாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தனர். 4 பேதுரு இயேசுவைப் பார்த்து, "ஆண்டவரே, நாம் இங்கேயே இருப்பது நல்லது. உமக்கு ஒன்றும் மோசேக்கு ஒன்றும் எலியாவுக்கு ஒன்றுமாக மூன்று கூடாரங்களை அமைக்கட்டுமா? இது உமக்கு விருப்பமா?" என்றார். 5 அவர் தொடர்ந்து பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது ஒளிமயமான மேகம் ஒன்று அவர்கள் மேல் நிழலிட்டது. அந்த மேகத்தினின்று , "என் அன்பார்ந்த மைந்தர் இவரே, இவர்பொருட்டு நான் பூரிப்படைகிறேன். இவருக்குச் செவிசாயுங்கள்" என்று ஒரு குரல் ஒலித்தது. 6 அதைக் கேட்டதும் சீடர்கள் மிகவும் அஞ்சி முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள். 7 இயேசு அவர்களிடம் வந்து அவர்களைத் தொட்டு, "எழுந்திருங்கள், அஞ்சாதீர்கள்” என்றார். 8 அவர்கள் நிமிர்ந்து பார்த்தபோது இயேசு ஒருவரைத்தவிர வேறு எவரையும் காணவில்லை. 9 அவர்கள் மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கி வந்தபோது இயேசு , "மானிடமகன் இறந்து உயிருடன் எழுப்பப்படும்பவரை இக்காட்சியைப்பற்றி எவருக்கும் சொல்லக்கூடாது'' என அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். 10 அப்பொழுது சீடர்கள் அவரிடம், "எலியாதான் முதலில் வரவேண்டும் என்று மறை நூல் அறிஞர்கள் கூறுகிறார்களே, அது எப்படி?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். 11 அவர் மறுமொழியாக, "எலியா வந்து எல்லாவற்றையும் சீர்ப்படுத்தப்போகிறார் என்று கூறுவது உண்மையே. 12 ஆனால் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன் : "எலியா ஏற்கெனவே வந்து விட்டார். அவரை மக்கள் கண்டுணரவில்லை. மாறாக, தாங்கள் விரும்பியவாறெல்லாம் அவருக்குச் செய்தார்கள். அவ்வாறே மானிட மகனையும் அவர்கள் துன்புறுத்துவார்கள்” என்றார். 13 திருமுழுக்கு யோவானைப் பற்றியே அவர் தங்களோடு பேசினார் என்பதை அப்பொழுது சீடர்கள் புரிந்து கொண்டார்கள்.
ஆண்டவரே! உம்மகனைப்போல நானும் உருமாறி உமக்குகந்த பிள்ளையாய் வாழ அருள்புரியும்.
ஆண்டவரே! உமது மகனின் மாட்சிமையை இயேசுவின் சீடர்களுக்குக் காட்டினீர். நானும் அதைக்கண்டு மகிழ்ந்து உமது குரலுக்குச் செவிசாய்க்க அருள்வீராக.
1 Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain, by themselves. 2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became dazzling white. 3 Suddenly there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. 4 Then Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if you wish, I will make three dwellings here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 5 While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!” 6 When the disciples heard this, they fell to the ground and were overcome by fear. 7 But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Get up and do not be afraid.” 8 And when they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus himself alone. 9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus ordered them, “Tell no one about the vision until after the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.” 10 And the disciples asked him, “Why, then, do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” 11 He replied, “Elijah is indeed coming and will restore all things; 12 but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but they did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of Man is about to suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them about John the Baptist.
Lord! Grant me the grace that I may also get transformed and live as a child pleasing to you.
Lord! You revealed the glory of your son to the disciple of Jesus. Grant me the grace that I may also rejoice by witnessing the glory of your son and listen to your voice.
16 இயேசு தாம் வளர்ந்த ஊராகிய நாசரேத்துக்கு வந்தார். தமது வழக்கத்தின்படி ஓய்வுநாளில் தொழுகைக் கூடத்திற்குச் சென்று வாசிக்க எழுந்தார். 17 இறைவாக்கினர் எசாயாவின் சுருளேடு அவரிடம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. அவர் அதைப் பிரித்தபோது கண்ட பகுதியில் இவ்வாறு எழுதியிருந்தது: 18 "ஆண்டவருடைய ஆவி என் மேல் உளது; ஏனெனில், அவர் எனக்கு அருள் பொழிவு செய்துள்ளார். ஏழைகளுக்கு நற்செய்தியை அறிவிக்கவும் சிறைப்பட்டோர் விடுதலை அடைவர், பார்வையற்றோர் பார்வை பெறுவர் என முழக்கமிடவும் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோரை விடுதலை செய்து அனுப்பவும். 19 ஆண்டவர் அருள்தரும் ஆண்டினை முழக்கமிட்டு அறிவிக்கவும் அவர் என்னை அனுப்பியுள்ளார்.'' 20 பின்னர் அந்த ஏட்டைச் சுருட்டி ஏவலரிடம் கொடுத்து விட்டு அமர்ந்தார். தொழுகைக்கூடத்தில் இருந்தவர்களின் கண்கள் அனைத்தும் அவரையே உற்று நோக்கியிருந்தன. 21 அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி, "நீங்கள் கேட்ட இந்த மறைநூல் வாக்கு இன்று நிறைவேறிற்று" என்றார். 22 அவர் வாயிலிருந்து வந்த அருள்மொழிகளைக் கேட்டு வியப்புற்று, "இவர் யோசேப்பின் மகன் அல்லவா?" எனக் கூறி எல்லாரும் அவரைப் பாராட்டினர்.
ஆண்டவரே! என்னை ஆவியில் அருள் பொழிவு செய்யும்.
ஆண்டவரே! உமது ஆவியின் வல்லமையால் போர்த்தப்பட்டு இவ்வுலக அநீதியை எதிர்த்துப் போராடி ஏழை எளியோர்க்கு விடுதலையளிக்க என்னைப் பயன்படுத்தும்.
16 When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free,19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.” 20 And he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21 Then he began to say to them, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” 22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They said, “Is not this Joseph’s son?”
Lord! Anoint me in spirit.
Lord! May I be filled with the power of your spirit. Use me to free the oppressed people by protesting against injustice.
