A Brief History
Gummidipoondi was bifurcated from Arambakkam and erected as a Parish on 15th July 2001. It has
three substations in Elavon, Kavaraipettai and Refugee Camp. It is an industrial area and the Government
has camps for Sri Lankan Refugees.
